START HERE

Your first song,
in three steps.

  1. Bring your music server.

Berry connects to Navidrome and compatible OpenSubsonic servers. You’ll need the server’s address, your username, and your password. Berry does not include a music catalog or a hosted server.

  2. Make the connection.

Enter your server’s full address on the Connect screen, including https:// and any subfolder. Sign in with the credentials supplied by your server administrator.

  3. Pick a place to start.

Explore Home or Library, open an album or playlist, and tap a song. For offline listening, download music while connected and find it in Library → Downloaded.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A little direction.

Berry can’t connect to my server.

Check the full server address and sign in to that same address in a browser. A server on your home network may require the same Wi-Fi or your own VPN when you’re away. Include any reverse-proxy subfolder in the address.

Verify your username and password with the server administrator. For an untrusted certificate, ask the administrator to confirm its fingerprint before trusting it.

Can I listen without an internet connection?

Yes, after downloading music to that device. Find saved music in Library → Downloaded on iPhone, or Downloads on Apple Watch. Music saved only on your iPhone is not automatically a Watch download.

Allow a download to finish before leaving your connection. If a download is paused or has failed, reconnect and resume or retry it in the app.

How do I listen on Apple Watch?

Sign in on the paired iPhone and open Berry on Apple Watch so the server configuration can transfer. Streaming needs a connection from the Watch to your server. Download music to the Watch for offline playback and connect Bluetooth headphones.

Why is a feature or some metadata missing?

Berry shows features supported by your server. Artwork, lyrics, and other metadata appear when the server provides them. Playlist editing also depends on ownership and whether the playlist is read-only.

Does Berry require a subscription?

Berry is a one-time paid download. There is no Berry subscription. You provide and manage your own compatible music server; any costs for that server are separate.

How do purchases or refunds work?

Apple handles the App Store purchase. For purchase history, billing, or a refund request, visit Apple’s Report a Problem service.

What should I include in a support email?

Tell us your device model, iOS or watchOS version, Berry version, server software and version, and what happened. An error message or a screenshot can help.

Please remove passwords, API keys, tokens, private server addresses, and personal information before sending logs or screenshots. We never need your server password.
